Although supposably adopted I traced back Gauss to Baden-Baden, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Baden-Baden is a spa town in southwestern Germany’s Black Forest, near the border with France.

I’m Part French
Being part french is the first I know of myself from my great grandmother Ba-Ma. Above is a Huguenot cross that is a symbol of French Protestants that left France for America in the 1600s.
After some digging, here is a link to a Huguenot that I’m related to. -
I’m Part German
An interesting find way back there in my family tree is Ludwig IV the Bavarian (King of Germany, King of Italy, Holy Roman Emperor). -
Ancestry
I did my dna test through ancestry.com and have been working on my family tree. I’ve been having a harder time setting up my fathers side.
According to my father and his father my last name Gauss is adopted from the 1800s. According to my grandfather my last name should be Lincoln. -
